The freshman, sophomore, and junior classes are in the course selection process for the 2013-14 school year, which inspired the editorial board to reflect on our underclassmen years and the unknowns that came along with selecting classes. We remembered looking through the course catalog, trying to decipher the difficulty and workload of classes through the generic course descriptions in a blind attempt to create a challenging yet manageable schedule.
Our guide is from the perspective of the TPH staff supplemented by student sources. We hope that it can guide students in choosing a schedule that will fit their needs, whether they would like to increase or decrease their academic rigor. The TPH Declassified Course Selection Guide should be used as one of many perspectives students consider when choosing classes.
We took into account different teaching styles. Our guide represents a compilation of all teachers teaching the same course.
We intend to keep the guide updated on TPHNews.com and to make changes as courses evolve.
