The first inning ended 7 -0, Piedmont.

Highlighted by senior Georgia Hill hitting a double, the fourth inning ended 15-1.

Senior Amy Dong, freshman Tess Olcott, sophomore Claire O’Connor, and Hill all hit doubles during the game.

“I think our team did really well,” Hill said. “We played very well today. We had a few errors in the field. We definitely could have played better, but we did what we could.”

“[The team] did great,” assistant coach Scott Hill said. “They were patient. I think that it was just fun for all the girls to play and to support the seniors.”

Junior Erica Peterson said the team held strong throughout the game.

“We scored early and successfully held them until the end,” Peterson said. “As a team we have not been hitting too well, but everyone got to hit. We also kept the errors to a minimum.”

Peterson said that the team held strong throughout the season being together as a group because they had a lot of team bonding off the field.
