Architect. Plane Captain. PHS junior. Noah Bruggerman does it all.
With both his parents being architects, Bruggerman grew up around blueprints, hammers, and nails.
“I build small scale models, like aircrafts, tanks, and buildings. I also help my mom on job sites sometimes, and come with her to help build some things,” Bruggerman said.
Along with building a model for a cabin, Bruggerman recently built a big model of a greek theater alongside his friend.
“[I love] when everything [I’m building] fits together perfectly. When I can, I like thinking about how stuff is going to fit together. I just love the feeling when things come out perfect,” Bruggerman said.
As a volunteer for the U.S.S. Hornet, Bruggerman is in charge of restoring a single engine propeller trainer aircraft that was used in the 1940’s to 80’s by the Navy.
“[Me and my friend] are the youngest volunteers there by far,” Bruggerman said. “It’s fun to hear all the veterans’ stories.
Bruggerman recently flew a plane alongside an older coworker at the Hornet. He plans on pursuing architecture in college, and later on, the Air Force.
