For senior William Tretola, being in just one band wasn’t enough. Currently he plays the kit drums for a total of six local musical groups.
“I started playing about eight years ago,” Tretola said. “I just kinda begged my parents to give me a
kit and they eventually caved.”
Tretola said that he was initially drawn to music because of the drums, which he felt gave songs their en-
ergy.
Tretola’s bands currently play shows all over the Bay Area, however, they are working towards ex-panding their audience past the Bay, even into nearby states.
“We do a lot of local stuff,” Tretola said. “We’re trying to do more West Coast [gigs] in general,
like Oregon, Washington.” Tretola said his bands primarily play metal punkand pop punk music.
In the future, Tretola said he hopes his bands will perform at larger shows across the United States.
“We’re working on going on tour soon,” Tretola said.
