On May 22, ASB elections were held for ASB president and class presidents for the 2026-2027 school year during the Day on the Green event. The following day, the results were announced.
The winners of the ASB elections include:
- Colin Amen and Charli Panico – ASB Presidents
- Skye Prata – Senior Class President
- Diego Branneria – Junior Class President
- Olivia Nealon – Sophomore Class President
On the morning of Friday, May 22, a form was sent out through Schoology to students as a way to vote, as well as there being an in-person station at Day on the Green. Students voted throughout the day until 4 p.m., when the ballots closed.
After a stressful and busy week, freshman Olivia Nealon said how amazing it feels to have won the position of sophomore class president.
“It showed that all of the hard work, time and effort paid off,” Nealon said. “I’m super grateful and excited, and this motivates me to work even harder to make next year super fun!”
Sophomore Diego Branneria said how grateful he is for the support his class has given him, and is excited for the upcoming school year.
“I want to thank my class for their support, for trusting me and believing in the mission of bringing our class closer together by having fun,” Branneria said. “This was truly a group effort, and I’m so excited to bring our ideas to life!”
Junior Skye Prata said that after reflecting on election week, she’s proud of her campaign and is looking forward to the upcoming school year.
“I’m super excited to have won, and now I get to start thinking about and planning our senior events,” Prata said.
Throughout the past week, each candidate spent time strengthening their campaign, and finding creative ways to encourage students to vote for them. Some methods included posters, social media accounts, clippings, and shirts.
“My approach that I think really helped my campaign was doing interactive videos and content with students,” junior Charli Panico said. “Specifically my strategy was to target the younger grades who I may have not regularly interacted with.”
After dedicating so much time on her campaign, Panico said how rewarding it feels to be ASB president.
“I put so much time, energy, and passion into the class for the past couple years, and organized my campaign before so I was well prepared,” Panico said
Junior Colin Amen has been working towards being ASB president since his sophomore year, and said it’s always been a goal for him.
“I’ve loved being class president, but having seen and compared two very different years of ASB, I have an idea of what a successful ASB class looks like, and I believe that starts with a strong leadership presence from presidents,” Amen said.
Amen and Panico said next year they are prioritizing on improving the school for its students, and increasing school spirit as a whole.
“It’s nice to be able to enjoy the victory with my co-president Charli, and I’m both excited to work with her and confident that we can execute on the vision we have for next year’s class,” Amen said.
