One hundred and twelve PHS students answered a survey about their energy levels from each month of the school year so far and their predicted energy level for May. Students rated their energy levels on a scale from one to ten, with the scale ranging from “very disconnected and exhausted” to “completely focused and grounded.” Across grade levels, a noticeable downward trend emerged, with peak energy levels noted in August and the lowest predicted for May. The only exception to this trend was an increase in January, after winter break and signifying the beginning of a new semester.
